Vanzo
Born in Jamaica, Vanzo (real name Devano MclLean) grew up in a Spanish Town neighborhood where he developed his musical passion by performing on stage from an early age.
Born on the beautiful caribbean island of Jamaica, singly Devano McLean better known as VANZO, grew up in the city of Spanish Town where he has been nurturing his musical passion and showcasing his natural talent ever since childhood.
He decided to enter Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall 2017 and won 2nd place out of a million contestants who competed. Now Vanzo is ready to go global.
VANZO RUMOURS New Single Out Jan 7th 2022
The new VANZO has arrived and as he says himself, it is « full of style like Ronaldihno »! The track RUMOURS is of course a nod to the eponymous title by Gregory Isaacs and it is therefore necessarily a love tune.
With this new single produced by the French dream team of Street Machine and imaged from Jamaica by Sherkhan, VANZO confirms his talent as a lyricist and gives us an ode to love and to feminine beauty. New Roots and a fat bass: here is something to keep us warm in this early winter…
VANZO is the new star of Jamaica, the rising star of a new musical breath that never ceases to fan the embers of the reggae fire. Modern, punchy and catchy, he never ceases to confirm how good people have thought of him since his appearance at Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall TV show.
The track RUMOURS will appear on the album which will be released in March 2022, it is the second single after « IN THE CITY » released last May, a kind of New Year’s treat.
VANZO, the guy from the Caribbean, is supported by an international team of great musicians (Jason Wilson / drums, Valéry Richard Assouan / bass, Grégory Emonet / guitar, Cyril Colling (Moolood) / keyboards). They are joined by the frenchies of the luxury beatmaking duo « Indus Tree » (Edwin Cardot & Fayce) with in the role of the coach, the famous Xavier Waks responsible for the Artistic Direction.
Labeled « Street Machine », this new single warms the Winter up, while waiting for the album to arrive in Spring!
